A bad day in Largo
This is a multi-player Wild West game in which each player starts with an outlaw gang (or the lawmen) and steadily acquires more characters with different objectives as the game proceeds, all driven by a card system. The rules are my own Wild West skirmish ones. You will see that my grass-covered squares have sand on the back for a suitably arid look.
The figures are all 20mm a mix of plastic and metal with some conversions, from Airfix, Revell, Atlantic, RSM, ESCI. The train is converted from a GWR kit. The stage coach is from Dixon. The building are a mixture of card and plastic kits, some resin ones from Hovels, and a number of scratch built ones (the Saloon, the Bank, and the Jail).
There's Largo in the foreground. The stagecoach with the Governor's wife and daughter has arrived outside the Saloon. The work detail has repaired the rail bridge over the stream (which the Wagon Train has just crossed) The prospectors are emerging from the rock-choked ravine in the background, and the Daltons have held up the train in the left foreground.
A shot from the other side of the table a bit later. The Paddle Steamer has arrived with the prisoner for the jail in the right distance. In the left foreground, the surviving mountain lion is eating somebody's horse. The cattle rustlers are making off with the longhorn cattle whose empty stockade is visible in the centre.
